Free HPV, Tdap & Pneumonia Vaccination Clinic!!
The Genesee County Health Department will offer a free clinic on
February 2, 2011 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in the Forum
See the following vaccine info and criteria below:
Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine is a series of 3 immunizations for women 19-26 yrs of age. HPV is given to prevent many cases of cervical cancer and genital warts.
Tetanus Diphtheria Pertussis (Tdap) is a vaccine for individuals 19-64 years of age who have close contact with infants 12 months old or younger, including women of childbearing age who are not pregnant. Tdap is a onetime substitute for the booster dose of Td.
Pneumococcal Polysaccharide – commonly known as the “Pneumonia vaccine” is available for adults over 65. In addition, anyone 19 yrs and older who is a smoker or has a chronic disease, cochlear implant, organ transplant, long term steroid or radiation therapy is eligible.
