Grades must be entered in Genesis by Friday, May 20 at 3:00 PM. You don’t want to be late. It’s not pretty! 🙂
As a piece of advice, enter grades as you have them, don’t worry about doing them all at once. That way you can check to see what’s there and what needs to be done.
One of the most frequently asked questions I get is “how do I know if my grades ‘went in’?” When you’re in Banner Self Service, look at the drop down where you select your sections.
Where mine now says “0 Final grades for 4 Students” (okay, ignore the “6”, it’s part of the CRN number) — when I’m done it should say “4 Final grades for 4 students”…. when it says that, you’re all set!
STUDENTS: You will be able to see your Spring grades inside Genesis about 5:00 pm on MONDAY, May 23. It takes us a full business day to check everything out, see what may be missing and to actually do the computer processing.
Genesee does not send report cards, grades are only available online, inside Genesis. If you need a copy of your grades sent to someone (i.e. your work reimburses you for your tuition based on the grade you earn), you need to request a transcript be sent (the form is online here).
EVERYONE: You need to log into Genesis to enter or see your grades. If you haven’t logged in lately and need help, call the Help Desk at 1-866-614-5004. You need your full name, your date of birth and your GCC ID number for the fastest service. If you don’t know your GCC ID number, the folk on the phone will ask more questions to help authenticate you. Don’t wait until the last minute!
Now for this week’s poll! About Genesis, of course!
