Mark your calendars, and “Walk for a Cure” on October 1st!
On October 1st, Phi Theta Kappa is proudly hosting “Walk for a Cure,” a fundraising event for breast cancer*. Come and join the Genesee Community and walk our beautiful Nature Trail. After the walk, we’ll convene in the Forum for coffee, pizza, and to listen to two guest speakers. We’ll also be raffling off generous donations from local businesses in Genesee County. Be sure that you keep your registration tickets, as you’ll want to trade them in for a free treat during our Bake Sale on October 25th!
Registration for the event is at 8:oo a.m. at the Nature Trail. The walk will begin promptly at 9:oo a.m. We’ll also have registration forms available at the Information Fair Tuesday, the 13th if you’d like to stop down! Registration is $1.oo with a GCC Student ID. The $1.oo donation will be waived with the purchase of a $5.oo PTK Cares shirt. Registration for non-GCC students is $5.oo, and a $9.oo donation includes a PTK Cares shirt. Shirts without participation are $5.oo. *All proceeds will go to help those who cannot obtain proper screening/ medical treatment for breast cancer.
For general information, feel free to contact Elise Banfield or Michelle Abdella, or consult with any of the Phi Theta Kappa Officers (Devon Kleinbach, KC Svensen, Michael Anauo, Michelle McDonald, and Tom Wieszczyk). We look forward to seeing you there!
