Winter! Semester, not the weather, silly!

What? Winter? It’s barely Fall! Geez!

Well, registration for Winter classes have been open for a bit and while there’s plenty of room yet, don’t want anyone to miss out on the courses being offered.

Now. There are, ummm, rules to Winter. Because these classes are all online and are ‘real’ classes that run over Christmas holidays (whether one observes or not), and have to be completed with 31 days (Dec 14 to Jan 13), we kind of screen folk who want to register.

Students are required to have a 3.0 grade point average to be allowed to take Winter semester courses. Judie Littlejohn (jmlittlejohn@genesee.edu) is the person to talk to if you have questions about registering for any of these courses. Well, Judie it the person to talk to about registration, period.

The list for Winter 2011 is:

  • CIS 116 – Microcomputer Applications
  • GEO 101 – World Regional Geography
  • HUM 242 – Female Role in Film
  • OFT 116 – Medical Terminology

Financial Aid for these courses is dicey so you have to think ‘non-existent’. You have to be prepared to pay for these courses on your own. The Winter semester doesn’t fit into the ‘standard’ semesters and if you need help paying for it, you need to talk to the Financial Aid Office now.
